Upen Patel is a British model and Bollywood actor. Born in London, He has been a student of Wembley high school. He got his computer science degree from Hertfordshire. His mother is a government lawyer in britain.
He was offered his first modelling assignment when he was sighted by a photographer in Britain. Then he came to Mumbai (india) where he walked the ramp for the first time in the india-fashion week.Patel has modelled for brands such as Hugo Boss, Paul Smith, and Zegna. He also appeared in the remix music video of the Bollywood song Kya Khoob Lagti Ho Hain which also featured Udita Goswami and Aiswarya Rai. In 2006 he made his Bollywood debut in the film 36 China Town. which was a moderate success at the box office. His second film, Namaste, London, was released on 23 March 2007 and is also doing well at the box office. Shortly afterwards, his third film Shakalaka Boom Boom was released on 6 April 2007, but has not done as well at the box office as expected.Upen has dated actress Amrita Arora and Indian supermodels , Shivani Kapoor and Shamita Singha. |
