UTV has signed a satellite syndication deal with Colors (a 50/50 joint venture operation in India between Viacom Inc. and the Network 18 Group), under which it has licensed rights for 27 films on a non-exclusive basis for India and overseas. The movies, which will be telecast on Colors in the coming months, include JODHAA AKBAR, RACE, LIFE IN A METRO, MUMBAI MERI JAAN, A WEDNESDAY and WELCOME TO SAJJANPUR. Colors would be the second broadcaster for airing these films after UTV Movies.
