| Tusshar Kapoor is an Indian actor. He is the son of Bollywood actor Jeetendra and brother of Ekta Kapoor. He studied at the University of Michigan. He made his debut with Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai opposite Kareena Kapoor in 2001 which was a box office hit and he received the Filmfare Best Debut Award. The next two years was followed by a list of flops, apart from Kucch To Hai which produced by his sister and won over many votes from young or teenage Asian viewers. After two years without any major successes, he gave a critically acclaimed performance with Khakee (2004) in which he starred opposite film legend Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai. This was followed by Gayab (2004). He then had his second major box office hit with the comedy Kyaa Kool Hai Hum in 2005. In 2006 he starred in another comedy Golmaal which was a moderate success. His forthcoming release is the huge multi-starrer Shootout at Lokhandwala which did well at the box office and won him acclaim for his performance as the real-life gangster Dilip Buwa. His recent release is Aggar which has proved to be disastrous at the box office. |
