Sammir Dattani has entered the A-list segment. The actor will be playing an important crucial role in Dharma Production's
I Hate Love stories. The movie stars Imran Khan and Sonam Kapoor in the lead, directed by debutant director Puneet Malhotra.
A source reveals, "Dharma Production is always known to have a surprise element in their movies. Right from
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna with Rani to
Wake Up Sid with Rahul Khanna, now the production house is having Sammir Dattani opposite Sonam, playing an important role along with Imran."
The source continues, "Sammir is very excited because this is his actual big break. Even though he's done a handful of films, getting a break in Karan Johar's production house is a huge deal for him. It's a love triangle with twists. Sonam and Sammir are in love and Imran is the third angle. He comes along and then falls in love with Sonam. The film then follows the love stories between the three of them. The shooting starts in October. Manish Malhotra is doing the clothes for all the actors."
Meanwhile, Sammir has finished his shooting of Shyam Bengal's
Well Done Abba opposite Minissha Lamba. He's also signed a horror movie with Percept titled 8, which will go on floor soon.
