In the modeling field she has worked in many ad-commercials like Killer Jeans, Dove soap, sarees and dress materials etc. She has also done photo shoots and in 2007 there was some talk that she will pose in nude for Playboy as a centerfold girl. Poonam Jhawar, at present is a producer and is working on cinematic movies with B. L. Saboo on “Aanch”. The stars of “Aanch” are Ayesha Jhulka, Paresh Rawal and Nana Patekar.
