Jackie Shroff or Jai Kishan (born 1 February 1957) is an Indian actor. Jackie Shroff was born in Mumbai to Gujarati speaking father Kakubhai Shroff and Rita Shroff. His elder brother, Hemant Shroff, drowned when Jackie was ten years old.Jackie Shroff married his longtime girlfriend Ayesha Dutt, on 5 June 1987. Ayesha is also a producer and both husband and wife run Jackie Shroff Entertainment Limited. They have a son, Jai Hemant Shroff ponka and a daughter Krishna Shroff. His son recently graduated high school, while his daughter still attends the American School of Bombay.

Jackie Shroff started his career with Swami Dada. He became popular after Subhash Ghai's Hero.

Shroff is also known for his philanthropy. Even though Jackie Shroff has been relegated to supporting roles and bit parts while his contemporaries like Anil Kapoor, Sunny Deol are still romancing girls half their age, Jackie Shroff has a bold image through his brazen interviews on sex and unleashed masculine sexuality through various near nude photoshoots, smooches & passionate scenes (Aar Ya Paar, Raam Shastra, Naya Daur, Aakhri Adalat, Kasam) and on screen appearances in briefs and speedos (Rangeela, Vardi).

His upcoming film is Veer with Salman Khan,Mithun Chakraborty, which is scheduled to be released on 22 January, 2010.
