A strongly-worded letter from the Credit Service Providers Association (CSPA) exhorting the EMI producer Suniel Shetty against addressing Sanjay Dutt's character in the film EMI not to use the term 'Bhai' has Suniel perplexed and adamant.

Writes the Association's Executive Secretary, G.B Singh, "Members of the Association are of the views (sic.) that our profession is shown in a very bad taste in the film EMI and will have very adverse effect on the viewers. "

The Association also objects to the actors using "indecent language." Suniel Shetty is outraged. "What indecent language are they talking about? Sanjay Dutt's Sattarbhai is a cute lovable character, not some aggressive ogre meant to terrorise people."

Suneil says he has no intentions of giving into this arm-twisting tactics. Neither will he show the film to any member of the Association. "EMI has been given a clean chit by the censors. Why do we suddenly have all these censors beyond the censor board policing our cinema? Let them watch the film when it's released and decide what we have done."

Real-life loan collector Sandeep Arora on whom Sanjay Dutt's character is based has his own take on the matter. "There's nothing wrong in calling the character Sattarbhai. It's a cool 'Bhai', meaning 'Brother' and not any other kind of Bhai."
