1. Find/Invite friends

To connect with your friends who are already members of Indyarocks and to catch up with them, visit the “Find Friends” link under “Friends” Menu. Here you can enter your email id and password of various email services that you use and import your contacts list to see if any of your email friends are already members of Indyarocks. If they are already members, the contact will be tagged as “Member” and you can simply send an internal alert to them. If they are not a member then you can invite them to join you at Indyarocks, by sending out invites to them.

2. Friend Connect

One way to increase your network of friends, is by using the "Friend Connect" link in the "Friends" Menu. On that page you can find options to find friends from your school/college or find new people based on interest/activities. To take maximum advantage of this feature you need to fill your profile details completely.

3. People Search

You can use the advanced People search link available under the “Friends” Menu. Here you can search for people based on email, first name, last name, login ID, city, interests etc..

4. Public Chatrooms

Visit the Chatrooms link Under the “Friends” menu. Here you can meet people from various parts of India. You can chat with them using the simple Text or through Audio/Video mode. Its fun and you can make new friends here.

How can I change the look and feel of My Profile page?

 

1. Profile themes

Indyarocks provides cool themes to help you personalize your profile page. You can select form a variety of themes and apply them on to your profile with a single click. To apply a theme, follow the simple steps given below

• Go to My Life page and Click on "Change Theme" link on the right side in the “Quick links” section.
• On the Profile Themes page select the Category such as Games, Dreamy, Independence Day or any other category of your interest.
• Click on the theme you want to apply. Your profile page theme will be changed accordingly.
• There is NO LIMIT on the number of times you can change your profile theme

 

2. Profile Music

Indyarocks allows you to add/embed music to your profile. Once you add music to your profile, you can listen to the music whenever you visit your profile page or your friends can listen to it whenever they visit your Profile page. Isnt that Cool. To Add music to your profile, please follow the simple steps given below

• Go to My Life page and Click on "Add Music" link on the right side of the Friend Feed/Graffiti section.
• Visit the links provided there and find a song you like. Copy the emebed code available for that song and page it in the box provided on Indyarocks add music link and submit it. Your Profile music will be added accordingly.
• There is NO LIMIT on the number of times you can change your profile music

Two Cool Ways

Indyarocks provides 2 cool ways to earn money. To know more, log into your account and Click on My Earnings link  available under “Quick Links" section (right hand side of your MyLife page).

Use the Privacy optiond to secure your profile info.

Profile Privacy:  You can secure your profile by setting up the privacy/security options with which you can control who can view your profile page. To set the desired privacy for your profile, you can visit "Account Settings" in the  "Edit Profile" link available under “MyLife” section in main menu. and select the desired option for "Show Profile" (either friends or every one).

Media Privacy:.  You can asset the desired privacy settings to your Photos, videos, blogs etc. While  uploading photos/videos or while writing a blog you will find the option to set privacy either to “Myself”, “My Friends”, “Everyone”.

This way you can always keep your private life truly private..

Who can rate my profile?

Only your friends on Indyarocks can rate you.

How can I know who has rated me?
Go to My life Menu, click on “Profile Rating” option to see who all have rated your profile. This feature has been enabled on 18th June 2007. Therefore any ratings that you had received prior to 18th June 2007 will continue to remain anonymous.

Can I also un-rate/withdraw my rating given by me to a person?
Yes. You can un-rate a person whom you had already rated. Visit the person's profile page and then click on the "Rate User" link. On the resulting window click the "x" button below the rating that you would like to withdraw.

Click on the “Edit profile” link under “MyLife” section. You will find various sections under which you can update abour yourself. Always keep your profile information up to date as it will help your friends know you better.

2. Profile picture
How can I change my profile pic?
Go to “My Life” page. Click on “Change Profile Photo” link available on the right side under Quick Links. Now click Browse and select the picture from your system. Once the selected photo is uploaded  you can choose to crop the picture in order to select the desired area of a picture that you would want to be seen as your profile photo.

JPG, JPEG, PNG and GIF an most other popular formats are acceptable.

I forgot my Login ID/Password. How can I retrieve it?
On the home page or login page click on the link “Forgot Login ID/Password”. Fill in your registered email address and click submit. Your login details will be mailed to your registered email address.

Login ID cannot be changed but you can certainly change your password. Visit the “Edit Profile” link under the “MyLife”  section in the main menu. In the resulting page, you can go to Account setting tab to change the password

Occasionally you might encounter users who may cause some trouble to you. Indyarocks enables you to avoid further encounters with such users by preventing them from accessing your page; you can visit their profile page and click on the link "Block him" available on the left hand side of the page, below their profile picture.

How to unblock a user?
Visit your My Life page and click on “My Bookmarks” link from the “My Life” section in the main menu.  In the Bookmarks page click on the x mark to remove the user from the blocked list.

Tags are keywords which will help us in searching/finding information for you. Tags can be used for easy search of your profile or photos/videos/blogs at Indyarocks.

Eg: A tag word FUN for a photo will help in the search for all the photos that have been tagged as FUN.

- A tag word Tennis  for a profile will help in the search for all people who have given the tag word Tennis for their profile.

How do I report inappropriate content? There is a report abuse link available at all potential points of source i.e photos, blogs, forums etc. You can use the link to send us the info about why you find the particular content offensive. You can also use the "Contact Us" form in the footer to get in touch with us.

How do I report spammers/imposters/underage users?

You can use the "Contact Us" form to report about spammers/imposters.
