Nobel Peace prize conferred for obama was indeed a pleasant suprise for me.

To clearly understand the reasons for such a rather hurried conferring of the award clearly going against its tradition of reserving the award for those who have done exceptional service to mankind - as mandated through the will of the nobel prize invemtor alfred nobel in his will. Begs consideration.

Obama has been facing a severe smear campaign by powerful right wing conservative groups who are bent on showing him in dim light, this has slowed down the radical reforms of health sector, financial reforms have also suffered as a consequence. ON the Israeli-palestinian conflict issues he has been criticised and his suggestion for israelis to stop expansion of the settlement in jerusalem and gaza strip to be seized has been disregarded and instead been accelerated.

But the US president has initiated a new policy of diplomatic engagement in middle east , especially with Iran , West -Asian crisis and paving a new path of engagement hitherto on a war path as a consequence of his predessesor naive methodologies.

The Nobel committee has thus by conferring him the nobel have made it harder for the president to backtrack from the proposed path. As the president himself expressed the award is "Call To Action", as far as he is concerned.

Gandhi , yes was denied the nobel prize, thrice... But Gandhi since his departure from amidst us has grown to heights of recognition ,where conferring him with nobel will itself appear too minuscle and insignificant.

In short : Mahatma Gandhi - Dearest Bapu has Grown beyound the Nobel.. Messaih of peace is too big for nobel... not a personal assumption but a realistic fact.

The present format of 50 over has to be continued, cricket has in recent times commercialized to the extent it is utterly frustrating to watch some of the matches.

Cricket has to remain the hard work and sweat it was a few years ago before the 20 over matches.That kind of exhileration is seen only in the 50 over matches and never found in the 20 over matches.

Commercialisation has to be regulated,and not extended to the extent when the game goes and glamour steps in, affecting the commitment of the sportsmen. Cricket should be less of divas,badshahs and more of wickets,runs,overs.

Time also to send home the beauties who come to comment as commentators.My question is have these divas ever played a cricket in their lives,have they dirtied their hands with mud when diving for the catch. Seriously NO !! So get lost divas this is not our place...
